ส่วนมากจะได้รับมอบจากพระเจ้าแผ่นดินเท่านั้น ผู้ที่จะมีแหวนธรรมรงค์จึงเป็นเพียงบุคคลชั้นสูงหรือขุนนางเท่านั้นการสร้างธรรมรงค์ในยุคก่อนโบราณจะหล่อด้วยโลหะสำริดหลอมเป็นเครื่องประดับในยุคนั้น ในตัวธรรมรงค์จะบรรจุด้วยอัญมณี, พลอย แหวนธรรมรงค์จึงถือว่าเป็นเครื่องรางของศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และเป็นเมตตามหาเสน่ห์แก่ผู้พบเห็น

เชื่อกันว่าผู้ใดได้ครอบครองแหวนธรรมรงค์ จะมากด้วยทรัพย์สินเงินทองมีโชคลาภ เมตตามหาเสน่ห์ เจรจาค้าขาย แหวนธรรมรงค์ได้ทำการหล่อขึ้นจากก้านโลหะชนวนศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่เหลือจากการสร้าง "ท้าวมหาพรหมเทวาสิทธิ์" ของอาจารย์องอาจ ประกอบไปด้วยคือมวลสารจากเศษโลหะสัมริด สมัยทรารวดี, ฟูนัน, ตามพรลิงค์เมืองละโว้, ศรีวิชัย, โคตรบูร, หริภุญชัย, ศรีสัชนาลัย, สุโขทัย, อโยธยา, ล้านนา, สุพรรณภูมิ, เพราะสัมริดมีความหมายถึง “ความสำเร็จ” คนในสมัยโบราณจึงนิยมใช้โลหะสำริดมาสร้างเป็นรูปเคารพและเครื่องรางในคติความเชื่อ

และยังมีเงินตราที่ใช้จริงสมัยพระเจ้าชัยวรมัน พร้อมทั้งโลหะอาถรรพ์ต่างๆ ตะกรุดเก่าเหรียญพระเกจิคณาจารย์ต่างๆพร้อมแผ่นจารอักขระเลขยันต์ทางด้านครอบจักรวาล อาจารย์องอาจได้จารอักขระเองทั้งหมด ก่อนนำมาหล่อหลอมรวมความศักดิ์สิทธิ์โลหะมวลสารขึ้นเป็นแหวนธรรมรงค์ในครั้งนี้เป็นจำนวนเพียง 24 ชิ้นเท่านั้น

พุทธคุณที่เด่นมากในทางค้ำชูดวงชะตา เป็นมหาสำเร็จสมปรารถนา และล้างอาถรรพ์ ขอเพียงผู้ใช้ตั้งสัจจะอธิฐานโดยไม่เกินวาสนาของตน และใช้ไปทางโชคลาภ ในทางมหาเสน่ห์ ในทางมหานิยม ในทางขอตำแหน่งหน้าที่การงานและในทางรักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บ รวมไปถึงถอนคุณไสยต่างๆได้

นางอัปสรที่มีคุณงามความดีบนสวรรค์

เชื่อกันว่ามีความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ล้างอาถรรพ์

สามารถกันภูตผีปีศาจได้ทั้งหมด

ด้วยความเชื่อนี้พระเจ้าชัยวรมัน

จึงได้สร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อมอบให้กับบุคคลสำคัญๆ

ไม่ว่าจะเป็นนางอัปสรที่ท่านโปรดปราน

และขุนนางที่มีความดีความชอบ

จริงๆแต่ละตำราย่อมมีที่มาต่างกัน

ส่วนฉันเองคือผู้สืบทอดวิชาลี้ลับ

ที่สาบสูญไปนับพันปีได้กลับมาให้คนบูชา"

“Each scripture, each belief is based on true story. According to the scripture that I know, Thamrong has existed for thousands of years. It is a wonderful gift that Lord Shiva will bestow on virtuous angels in heaven.

With this belief, King Jayavarman created Thamrong to give to important people, whether his favourite apsaras and skillful noble people.
